Statistical methods for combining dependent evidence, statistical genetics, and open-source R software

I am a Professor of Mathematical Sciences at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). I co-founded WPI’s Bioinformatics and Computational Biology program and teach its core statistics course, and I co-created the department’s PhD program in Statistics.

My research develops statistical methods for combining dependent evidence: p-value combination, signal detection, and integrative association testing. The methods are motivated by, and applied to, meta-analysis, whole-genome sequencing studies, statistical genetics, and clinical studies. My group releases the methods as open-source R packages.
